Read this slowly.

Haiti - 80% of the population’s average income is $100 a year.

We have brothers and sisters in the Lord who live there. I hope that in heaven they will receive a double portion. I'm guessing that even here on earth, the Lord is so near them. In their consistent turmoil, I think they may know God more deeply than we ever will on earth.

The situation with Haiti is so tough to see in many way, in particular, while living in the states. Haiti is so close to the US yet barely on the domestic radar ...Prayers definitely Abound.

It is one of the world's darkest places. Because of that His light is all the more distinctive there. Sheila's daughter went there, as did Amber van den Raadt. Haiti is always in our prayers.

I just went to Peru for a month. Though it's not as poor overall, I met many people living in relative poverty. I pray their reward in heaven is great.
